I’ve been in Texas a little over a year. Moved here for many reasons, but mainly for work and a fresh start.
Those who know me know my passion for music. For those who don’t, there’s always a song playing in my head. Yes, even when I’m talking to you and even right now while I’m typing.
I started up a duo with a guy out of Virginia, Warren Dunlevy. He and I tend to share the same musical brain… which is sometimes humorous and sometimes scary but it’s a connection that makes performing easy and natural.
We dubbed ourselves the “Arghh Pirates!” after my good friend Steve Junge suggested it for a name a couple of years ago. It lends itself to fun, frivolity, shenanigans and endless themes for marketing ourselves. So when you make it out to a show, expect just that!
Texas is starting to feel like home more and more, I haven’t developed a drawl yet (but I did pick up some nice boots) and I’m overwhelmed by the friendliness of the people I have the pleasure of working with and strangers that I meet.
Keep checking the site, I’ve started booking some gigs here in the DFW area. I’m waiting to hear about some very big news that I can’t announce yet but I’m very excited about.
